Description

The Drift Evo II is Caberg's flagship full face touring helmet, and the Jarama graphic in matt black, grey and yellow fluo is the sharpest colourway in the range. Bold enough to stand out on the road, aggressive enough to sit right on a naked bike or sports tourer, and built to a specification that most helmets at this price point can't match.

The fiberglass shell is produced in two sizes, small (XS to M) and large (L to XXL), ensuring the helmet is proportionate to your head regardless of what size you buy. It's a step up from the single-shell construction of cheaper full face helmets, and it shows in how the Drift Evo II sits and fits. At 1,450g for the small shell, it's comfortably within full face norms without tipping into uncomfortable territory on longer rides.

Ventilation is genuinely engineered rather than decorative. Two vents on the chin guard drive air directly onto the inner face of the visor to prevent misting. Two vents at the crown channel fresh air through the helmet. Four rear extractors pull hot stale air out of the back. All vents are independently operable. The rear spoiler is not just aesthetic, it's designed to enhance airflow from the extractors at speed. The helmet includes a removable wind-stop at the chin to reduce buffeting in open conditions.

The visor system gives you two layers of vision management. The outer visor is clear and anti-scratch, with a tilting mechanism for micro-ventilation without fully opening. A Pinlock Max Vision 70 anti-fog insert is included in the box, not an optional extra. The integrated DVT sun visor drops smoothly with a gloved hand for bright-weather riding. The quick-release system changes the outer visor without tools.

Two features set the Drift Evo II apart from the competition at this price. First, the Emergency Quick Release cheek pad system, red pull strips inside the helmet allow a first responder to remove the cheek pads safely while the helmet is still on your head, reducing the risk of neck movement during helmet removal after an accident. Second, the Caberg SOS Medical ID, a small electronic device built into the helmet that stores your personal data, medical records and emergency contacts, accessible via NFC. It's a genuinely useful safety feature that no other helmet manufacturer at this price has matched.

The interior uses hypoallergenic, transpiring fabrics throughout and is fully removable and washable. The cheek pads are ergonomically shaped with grooves for spectacle arms, a practical detail for glasses wearers. The double D-ring chin strap uses aluminium hardware. The helmet is factory-prepared and ECE 22.06 tested with the Caberg Pro Speak Evo Bluetooth system installed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Caberg SOS Medical ID?

The SOS Medical ID is an electronic device built into the Drift Evo II that stores your personal data, medical records and emergency contact information. It uses NFC technology, meaning a first responder with an NFC-enabled device can access your critical medical information immediately after an accident without needing to remove the helmet or speak to you. It's a unique feature in this price bracket and a genuine safety advantage for touring riders.

What does the Emergency Quick Release cheek pad system do?

Red pull strips inside the cheek pads allow a first responder to remove the cheek pads safely while the helmet remains on your head. This reduces the risk of neck and spinal movement during helmet removal following an accident. The system is the same principle used in more expensive helmets and is a meaningful safety feature.

Does the Pinlock come included?

Yes. A Max Vision 70 Pinlock anti-fog insert is included in the box as standard.

Can I fit a Bluetooth intercom?

Yes. The Drift Evo II is factory-prepared for Caberg's Pro Speak Evo system and has been ECE 22.06 tested with the unit installed, meaning homologation is maintained. Third-party intercoms can also be fitted.
