It is a deliberate, confident colour choice on a helmet built for serious touring. The fuchsia accent cuts through the matt grey and black with enough presence to be noticed on the road without crossing into high-visibility territory. It reads as a rider who knows exactly what they want and bought accordingly. If the white version of the Horizon is for those who want to disappear into the pack, the fuchsia version is for those who have no interest in doing so.
Ventilation works across the full range of touring conditions. Two chin guard vents drive air directly onto the inner visor face to prevent misting. Two crown vents supply fresh air into the helmet body. Four rear extractors pull stale hot air out of the back, assisted by the rear spoiler which creates extraction pressure at speed. A removable wind-stop at the chin manages buffeting in cold or exposed conditions. Each vent operates independently.
The outer visor is clear anti-scratch with a tilting mechanism for micro-ventilation without fully opening. Quick-release allows visor changes without tools. The Max Vision 70 Pinlock insert is in the box. The integrated DVT sun visor drops with a gloved thumb. All the visual management you need for a full day on the road in variable UK conditions.
The Caberg SOS Medical ID is an NFC device built into the helmet that stores your personal data, medical records and emergency contacts, readable by any NFC-enabled device at an accident scene. The Emergency Quick Release cheek pad system uses red pull strips to allow a first responder to remove the cheek pads safely while the helmet remains on your head. Both features are thoughtfully engineered for the worst moments of a rider's life and found in very few helmets at this price.
The interior uses hypoallergenic transpiring fabrics throughout, is fully removable and washable, and the cheek pads include grooves for spectacle arms. The aluminium double D-ring chin strap is the safest fastening available. The helmet is factory-prepared and ECE 22.06 tested with the Caberg Pro Speak Evo Bluetooth unit installed.
