Frequently asked questions
Is the Shoei J.O TC-10 road legal in the UK?
How does the integrated visor work?
Can I wear goggles over or under the visor?
How do I get the right fit?
Where the TC-5 plays it in sharp black and white, the TC-10 brings a lighter, cooler palette, a blue-toned graphic that suits scramblers, Triumphs, classic Hondas and naked bikes with equal ease. It's the kind of colourway that stops standing in for everything and starts belonging somewhere specific. If your bike runs in blue, silver or black, the TC-10 is made for it.
Under the graphic, this is the same J.O that's earned its reputation as the finest retro open face helmet on the market. The AIM+ shell combines organic and multi-composite fibres across three outer shell sizes, not two like most of the competition, matched to four EPS liner densities so every head from XS to XXL gets a shell that genuinely fits rather than one padded out to compensate. It sits low and close without that bulbous dome look that plagues cheaper open face helmets.
The integrated CJ-3 visor disappears flush into the shell when raised. Three position adjustment means you can run it fully open, cracked for ventilation, or fully closed in cooler weather. No external mechanism, no ugly housing, just the visor itself, barely visible when not in use. It's the kind of detail that matters to the rider who cares about how a helmet looks.
Inside, the J.O is plush. Fleece lining with Nubuck leather and suede trim on the edges. Cheek pads in four thicknesses, 31mm, 35mm, 39mm, 43mm, all included, so you can dial the fit precisely to your head shape. Everything comes out for washing. The helmet ships in an official Shoei bag.
At £239.99 against an RRP of £349.99, you're getting a £110 saving on a helmet that most dealers sell at full price. If this graphic speaks to you, it's a strong buy.
